- Description of work
- GST amount shown separately
- Total including GST
Quote vs Estimate
- Quote: Fixed price (can't change without agreement)
- Estimate: Approximate, may vary
Red Flags
- No ABN
- Handwritten with no details
- Cash only requested
- No scope description
- No license number
Keep Records
Keep all quotes and invoices for:
- Tax purposes (5 years)
- Warranty claims
- Resale documentation
- Insurance claims
