How It Works
From application to getting paid — step by step
Step 1: Apply to Join
Fill out our application form with your details:
- Your trade and services offered
- License number and state
- Insurance details
- ABN
- Suburbs/areas you service
- References from previous work
Application takes about 10 minutes. There's no fee to apply or join.
Step 2: We Verify Your Details
We check:
- License validity: We verify your license number with the relevant state authority
- Insurance: We confirm your public liability coverage is current
- References: We may contact your references to verify work quality
Verification typically takes 2-5 business days. We'll email you when you're approved.
Step 3: Set Your Service Areas
Once approved, you specify exactly which suburbs and regions you want to work in. Be realistic — list the areas where you can actually provide good service without excessive travel.
You can update your service areas anytime. More areas means more potential leads, but also more travel. Find the balance that works for your business.
Step 4: Receive Job Enquiries
When customers in your service areas submit job requests, you'll receive their details via email. You'll see:
- Customer name and contact details
- Job description and requirements
- Location (suburb)
- Preferred timeframe
You decide whether to follow up. There's no obligation to quote every job, and no fee for receiving enquiries.
Step 5: Contact the Customer
If you're interested in the job, contact the customer directly. This is where you take over:
- Discuss their requirements in detail
- Arrange a site visit if needed
- Provide your quote
- Answer their questions
You run your business your way. Set your own prices, use your own contracts, manage the relationship directly.
Step 6: Win the Job and Complete the Work
If you win the job, you deal directly with the customer throughout. We're not involved in:
- Pricing or payment negotiations
- Scheduling or project management
- Work supervision or quality control
- Disputes or issues
You're an independent business. We connected you with the customer — the rest is between you and them.
Step 7: Get Paid by the Customer
Invoice the customer as you normally would. They pay you directly. Your standard payment terms apply.
Step 8: Report the Job and Pay Platform Fee
After the customer pays you, report the completed job to us and pay the platform fee:
- 10% of job value
- Capped at $300 maximum
Examples:
| Job Value | 10% Fee | Capped Fee | You Keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| $500 | $50 | $50 | $450 |
| $1,500 | $150 | $150 | $1,350 |
| $3,000 | $300 | $300 | $2,700 |
| $5,000 | $500 | $300 (capped) | $4,700 |
| $10,000 | $1,000 | $300 (capped) | $9,700 |
The cap means larger jobs have effectively lower percentage fees. A $10,000 job only costs you 3%.
Key Points
- No upfront costs to join or receive leads
- You only pay when you've been paid
- Fee is capped at $300 per job
- You remain completely independent
- We operate on trust and honesty
What If I Don't Win the Job?
You pay nothing. That's the whole point. Unlike other platforms where you pay $40 for a lead that 5 other tradies also received, here you only pay when you've actually won work and been paid for it.
What If the Customer Doesn't Pay?
You don't pay us until the customer pays you. If a job goes bad and you don't get paid, you don't owe us anything. We share the risk with you.
